Stay safe – do's & don'ts
- Stay indoors during landfall; move to a cyclone shelter if officials ask you to evacuate.
- Keep phones charged, a torch, drinking water, medicines and documents in a waterproof bag.
- Stay away from the beach, rivers, electric poles, fallen wires and old buildings.
- Fishermen: do not go to sea until IMD withdraws the warning.
- The calm “eye” is not the end – strong winds return from the opposite direction.
- Believe only official updates (IMD, APSDMA, district collectors). Don't forward rumours.
