Need help or want to help?

This website is for information only and does not take requests. For any help, call the numbers above – they are staffed round the clock by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

If you or someone needs help

  • Life in danger, trapped, injured or in rising water: call 112.
  • Evacuation, shelters, food or relief: call APSDMA 1070 or your district control room listed above.
  • Fallen electric wires or power cuts: call 1912.
  • Cyclone queries on WhatsApp: Mana Mitra 9552300009.

If you want to volunteer or donate

  • Contact your district collectorate control room – volunteers are assigned through the district administration so help reaches the right places safely.
  • Students: coordinate through your college's NSS / NCC unit and the district administration.
  • Donate only through official government relief channels announced by the state – never to unknown individuals or unverified links.
  • Do not travel into affected areas unless officials ask you to.

Before landfall

  • Keep an emergency kit: water, dry food, torch, power bank, radio, medicines, ID and documents in a plastic cover.
  • Note the nearest cyclone shelter; evacuate early when told – don't wait for the wind.
  • Tie down loose roof sheets; bring inside anything the wind can throw.
  • Switch off main power and gas if water enters the house.

After the cyclone

  • Wait for the official all-clear before going out.
  • Never touch fallen electric wires – report them on 1912.
  • Drink boiled or chlorinated water only.
  • Report damage and missing persons to your district control room.
